Westside Apartments is a conversion of a former 1960’s office building to provide thirteen contemporary apartments close to Canterbury’s West Station. The building was completely refurbished and re-clad in a terracotta tile rain screen system that has a similar colour to the traditional Kent peg tile found locally. The conversion retained the building’s “modern movement” architectural style but the changes ensured that it is referenced to its surroundings in a way that the original never was.
